Time-Adaptive Determination of Drug Efficacy in Mathematical Model of HIV Infection

Abstract The paper considers a time-adaptive finite element method for determination of drug efficacy in parameter identification problem (PIP) system ordinary differential equations (ODE) that describes dynamics the primary human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection with therapy. Tikhonov’s regularization method, optimization approach and to solve this are presented. A posteriori error estimates functional reconstructed derived. Based on these time adaptive algorithm is formulated numerically tested different scenarios noisy observations population function. Numerical results show significant improvement reconstruction using local mesh refinement compared gradient applied uniform mesh.
